What drew you to the practice in the first place?
Initially, I wasn’t aware of how much I enjoyed Pilates. I also enjoy other physical activities, such as cycling, walking, and playing squash and tennis. I had a minor accident with a foldable bicycle a few years ago and I ended up injuring one of my knees.
Due to this injury, I had to refrain from exercising for one to two years. However, I was always eager to work out with any kind of exercise, and that helped speed up my recovery. I started working out again, focusing on Pilates, and before I knew it, I fell in love with it. Since then, I have been doing Pilates almost every day.
What is your favorite thing about Pilates or teaching clients?
I enjoy Pilates for my balance and posture, particularly when I engage in spine articulation
exercises. The more I improve my posture and core strength, the more satisfied I am. I want my clients to feel the same way I do. As an instructor, I feel most rewarded when I see my clients develop better balance, posture, and a stronger core.
Favorite quote about Pilates or Pilates movement
I have two favorite quotes:
“Breathing is the first act of life and the last. Our very life depends on it.”
“You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.”
As I experienced, I hope my clients feel the same way I do. I always strive to share positive experiences with others.
Favorite hobby? Or Fun fact about yourself
I love to challenge myself and learn new things. Last year, I learned how to surf, and I’m excited about my upcoming surfing vacation this year.
