Nikki discovered her passion for Pilates throughout her world travels, realizing that the best of workouts could be completed even in the tiniest of spaces. After three years of exploring Africa, India, Europe and the Middle East, she returned to Canada deciding to further her studies and work towards her professional Pilates accreditation.
She saw the benefits in her own body and became intrigued with how the body works and moves. Inspired, she completed her first mat work certification through Body Harmonics in Toronto. Shortly thereafter, she decided to deepen her understanding by completing a yearlong comprehensive program at the STOTT™ Pilates International Certification Centre, receiving her full certification in 2009. Currently, Nikki is pursuing her full Yoga Certification through Downward Dog Studio in Toronto, Ontario and hopes that this education will provide her clients with diverse and individualized programming that will focus on their needs and interests.
Nikki participates in specialized workshops that range from Osteoporosis Management, Strength Training, Gait Analysis, Nutrition, Breath and Core Support and Meditation. Additionally, she has participated in specialized courses that educate on the fundamentals of Injuries and Special Populations. To balance her skills as a Pilates instructor, she has recently received her Master Practitioner Level in Reiki.
Nikki strives for her clients to get the most out of each session and to leave every workout with a sense of greater physical strength and calmer inner focus. Her genuine interest in people provides a workout that is committed to the needs of each client. It is the time that Nikki takes to create such individualized approaches that helps to develop the physical strength and confidence that is needed in a well-rounded, diverse workout. Her commitment and enthusiasm in promoting better health for all her clients creates a workout that is focused, progressive and most importantly, fun!
