In Studio Improvements

As of June 1, 2020

What will be different in the studio space:

  • Hand sanitizer located at front doors of studios on both floors and throughout studio space
  • Single use paper cups for drinking water
  • Lysol wipes and hospital grade, natural disinfectant Benefact for cleaning all equipment
  • Paper towels to wipe down equipment after each client use
  • 3 HEPA grade Air Filters in studio
  • “Used equipment” bins at in each work space to ensure smaller equipment is cleaned & disinfected before returning to shelves
  • Daily clean & disinfecting of all surfaces and equipments
  • Large Pilates equipment has been spread out in studio to ensure adequate space between client and instructor.
  • Reduced seating area at front door to limit close contact between clients

What will be different in your training sessions at the studio:

  • Staggered start times to ensure no crowding at start/end of sessions
  • A temporary 12 hours cancellation policy to give you the opportunity to cancel your session without being charged if you’re experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms
  • We’ll forego tactile cueing but still challenge and correct with verbal cues and physical demonstrations
  • Hospital grade, disposable surgical masks will be worn (*we will continue to monitor whether this becomes a requirement as outlined by the government once we are allowed to reopen)
  • MindBody Online Account SetUp to store credit card information (upon request) in order to reduce payment terminal contact
  • Limited private training sessions to be:
    • 3 on main floor (front, middle and back)
    • 2 on third floor (front & back room)
  • Allocation of 5-10 minutes at the end of every session to disinfect and clean all equipment used

What we’re asking of our clients:

  • Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your session start time in order to reduce the number of people in the studio and leave when your session is done.
  • Sign your session sheet upon arrival and then wash your hands/disinfect
  • Minimize the amount of personal articles (extra bags, etc.) brought into the studio
  • Please arrive ready to workout in your exercise clothes
  • Please consider wearing a mask should you feel compromised in any way (*we will continue to monitor whether this becomes a requirement as outlined by the government once we are allowed to reopen)
  • Please wear socks for Pilates equipment training. We’re recommending Shashi socks – made in Canada, good grip, lots of styles (Guys – take a look at the Shashi Essentials Basic Collection under Socks on their website)
  • Consider purchasing your own Reformer Soft Loops to use in your session for your added comfort and ease (*please note that our studio soft loops are always sprayed after each use with disinfectant and rotated out each week)
